December 25th - Spent Christmas Day in the Lower East Side.  Quiet enough earlier in the day.  Had some pizza slices and walked around.  Then met with Holly Lane (music promoter)  and her friend Lisa Crumb (photographer).  There were a few other people there also, Lisa’s husband Stu and Hensy-the-bassist from the AfroCuban night.  Some local LES characters also.  In a bar I met with a young Australian couple (Sam and Millicent) who were friendly and posed for photographs.

December 26th - Boxing Day as we call it, I went way down by Q train to Rockaway Beach to visit my friend Briege McGarrity.  Briege is originally from Tyrone in Northern Ireland and has been working as a film publicist in New York for the last 10 years.  We stayed at her cousins’ house (Mulvanerty) and ate a lot.

December 27th -  Marked the occasion of a 21st birthday party for one of my cousins. Good fun. I didn’t think I’d ever be at a 21st birthday party again!  A good chance to see what Rockaway had to offer.

December 28th -  After a huge Mulvanerty cooked breakfast I took some photographs of the empty beach.  Got the L train this time from Canarsie back to Williamsburg. Played with a cat and uploaded photographs to Flickr in the evening.
